Suzuki e Vitara priced: Small electric SUV arrives under $47K, but rises are coming!
Suzuki has confirmed pricing and specification for its first electric vehicle in Australia, the e Vitara, with the small SUV set to arrive from July priced from $46,990 drive-away.
The new model will be offered in two variants, with the front-wheel-drive e Vitara Motion opening the range and the all-wheel-drive e Vitara Ultra topping the line-up at $56,990 drive-away as part of a limited pre-order offer for the first 100 customers .
Prices are set to rise by $3000 for the Motion and $2000 for the Ultra once the introductory allocation is exhausted or from July 1.

The e Vitara marks a significant step for the Japanese brand as it enters the battery electric market in Australia for the first time, bringing a familiar nameplate into an increasingly competitive small SUV EV segment.
As outlined in EV Central’s recent review, the e Vitara arrives with a focus on practicality and brand familiarity rather than outright value leadership, with key rivals from BYD, MG and emerging Chinese brands undercutting it on price while often offering longer driving ranges.
In standard Motion form, the e Vitara is powered by a single electric motor producing 106kW and 193Nm, paired with a 49kWh battery delivering a claimed driving range of up to 344km.
Stepping up to the Ultra adds a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 135kW and 307Nm, along with a larger 61kWh battery that extends range to 395km .

Both variants are underpinned by Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles, and designed to maximise cabin space and structural rigidity while accommodating the battery pack.
Suzuki’s ALLGRIP-e system is exclusive to the Ultra, enabling torque distribution between the front and rear axles to improve traction, supported by selectable driving modes including Eco, Normal and Sport, as well as a Trail mode for off-road conditions.
Standard equipment on the Motion includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.1-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 360-degree camera, adaptive safety systems and dual-tone fabric trim. The Ultra builds on this with features such as a panoramic glass roof, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging and a premium Infinity audio system .
Suzuki claims DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent can be completed in around 45 minutes for both battery sizes, while AC charging times vary depending on battery capacity and power supply.
In terms of safety, the e Vitara carries a four-star ANCAP rating based on European testing, and includes a suite of driver assistance systems such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring.

Suzuki Australia general manager Michael Pachota said the e Vitara arrives at a time when demand for electrified vehicles is increasing, positioning it as an accessible entry point into EV ownership.
“The launch of the e Vitara comes at a pivotal time, when global fuel pressures are reshaping how Australians think about vehicle electrification,” he said.
“With pricing now announced, we’ve ensured the e Vitara is a good value proposition to meet market demand, offering a practical entry into electric driving, without losing the joy of driving a Suzuki.”
Pre-orders for the e Vitara are now open, with first Australian deliveries expected to commence in July 2026.
