Toyota bZ4X Touring Aussie price and equipment announced: New flagship arrives with extended body and more power
Toyota has confirmed pricing and specification for its new flagship EV in Australia, the bZ4X Touring.
The new addition to the 2026 Toyota bZ4X range will arrive in local showrooms in May, headlined by the new Touring variant priced from $69,990 plus on-road costs.
It sits at the top of a line-up starting from $55,990 for the entry-level 2WD, rising to $67,990 for the AWD (plus on-road costs).

The Touring represents a more practical, higher-performance take on Toyota’s first dedicated EV, effectively acting as a larger, more family-focused version of the standard bZ4X.

It is longer at the rear, with a more upright tailgate to boost cargo space, and is positioned as a rival to popular mid-size electric SUVs including the Tesla Model Y and emerging Chinese competitors.
A key differentiator is the extended body, which adds 140mm behind the rear axle and lifts luggage capacity to more than 600 litres, compared with 452 litres in the regular bZ4X.
The Touring also gains a slight increase in ride height and more rugged exterior detailing, reinforcing its positioning as a more versatile, lifestyle-focused variant.
Under the skin, the Touring becomes the most powerful version of the bZ4X offered in Australia.

It uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined 280kW output, enabling a claimed 0-100km/h sprint of 4.4 seconds.
Power is supplied by a 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery, with Toyota quoting up to 488km of WLTP driving range and DC fast-charging capability of up to 150kW.
Specification is broadly aligned with the existing AWD grade but adds unique exterior features including 20-inch black alloy wheels, skid plates, roof rails and black styling accents.
Inside, the Touring carries over key equipment such as a 14-inch touchscreen, JBL premium audio, dual wireless phone chargers, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic roof and a 1500W power outlet.

The broader bZ4X range has also been updated with improved performance, efficiency and equipment, alongside significant price reductions introduced late last year to better align the model with increasingly competitive rivals.
Toyota is supporting the updated range with a series of incentives including deposit bonuses, novated leasing discounts and charging offers through the Chargefox network or a complimentary home charger for eligible buyers.
The addition of the Touring expands Toyota’s electric SUV offering in Australia, providing a more spacious and more powerful alternative within the bZ4X line-up as the brand looks to strengthen its position in the growing EV market.
The Toyota bZ4X Touring is a close relation of the Subaru Trailseeker, which launches in Australia mid-year.
