Bargain EV incoming: Fresh Australian details on Leapmotor C10 electric SUV that Jeep’s parent hope will get the jump on the Tesla Model Y
The 2025 Leapmotor C10 will come with the option of two model grades and a range of up to 420km when the all-new mid-size SUV arrives before the end of this year to challenge the likes of the Tesla Model Y.
Leapmotor, that’s part-owned by Peugeot, Citroen, Jeep, RAM and Alfa Romeo parent Stellantis, is widely tipped to be introduced with cut-throat pricing that will see it sit below the cheapest Tesla Model Y that’s sells from $55,990 (plus on-roads costs).
Expect the C10 to be cost around $40,000.

Combined with a 69.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, the new C10 is claimed to be able to cover up to 420km (WLTP-verified) on a single charge, with a 30-80 percent top-up taking around 30 minutes.
In other markets, the C10 comes with a second plug-in range-extender hybrid powertrain, but it’s not set to be offered Down Under.

The flagship C10 Design, meanwhile, upsizes the alloy wheels to larger 20-inch wheels, gets faux leather heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, power tailgate and ambient interior lighting.
