Subaru Trailseeker Aussie price and equipment detailed: EV flagship is an AWD SUV with a starting price under $70K
Subaru has confirmed pricing and specifications for its new flagship electric SUV, the Trailseeker, which will arrive in Australia from $67,990 plus on-road costs as a larger, more powerful sibling for the Solterra EV.
Pre-orders for the all-new Trailseeker have now opened ahead of its mid-year arrival, with the range comprising two variants: the entry-level AWD priced from $67,990 and the flagship AWD Touring from $73,990.
The Solterra starts at $63,990 and tops out at $69,990 for the Touring model.
Forming part of Subaru’s expanding electric line-up along with the compact Uncharted that arrives before the end of 2026, the Trailseeker adopts a similar strategy to the recently launched – and priced at $69,990 – bZ4X Touring by offering a bigger body, increased practicality and stronger performance in a five-seat package.

Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing a combined 280kW, enabling a claimed 0–100km/h time of around 4.5 seconds. The system works with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode to deliver both on-road performance and off-road capability.

A 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery provides a claimed driving range of up to 533km (WLTP) for the AWD, with the AWD Touring rated at up to 488km.
DC fast charging is capped at 150kW, allowing a 10–80 per cent recharge in about 30 minutes, while three-phase AC charging at up to 22kW is also supported.
The Trailseeker measures 4845mm in length and rides on a 2850mm wheelbase, making it significantly larger than the Solterra and aligning it closely with the bZ4X Touring. Ground clearance is rated at 211mm, reinforcing Subaru’s focus on all-terrain usability.
Inside, the Trailseeker features a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen paired with a 7.0-inch digital display, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless phone chargers and a digital rear-view mirror. Synthetic leather trim, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard.

The AWD Touring adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, leather-accented upholstery, a Harman Kardon audio system and advanced parking assist. It also introduces vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality via a 220V outlet.
Safety equipment includes Subaru Safety Sense, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and a 360-degree camera system, along with a driver monitoring system.
“Trailseeker brings together attributes you rarely find in one vehicle. Genuinely quick, with the response and control of a performance car, the space and practicality of a large wagon, and the ground clearance and confidence of a true SUV,” said Scott Lawrence, General Manager, Subaru Australia.
“On the road it feels sharp, composed and effortless over distance – beyond it, that capability doesn’t fall away. The balance, traction and control are there to tackle back-country roads and real Australian terrain without hesitation

“Intelligent technology is central to how it all comes together – designed and engineered the Subaru way, refined over decades, to feel intuitive and capable across varied conditions. We believe it sets a new benchmark for what an electric vehicle can be, and we’re excited to see it out on Australian roads.”
