In less than five entertaining minutes their Electric Vehicles ad shoots the Federal Government’s Future Fuels Strategy and the Victorian Governments EV road-user tax to shreds.

While the spokesperson for the “Australien Government” is clearly fake, the facts they highlight are genuine. The ad also highlights the absurdity of Victoria’s EV tax with an excellent analogy: “Hey, that’s like taxing ex-smokers for no longer paying tax on tobacco”.

The Juice Media is a small crowd-funded outfit based in Melbourne, and it’s been producing Honest Government Ads since 2016. Its well-made low-budget productions are shot against a green screen in the living room of the home of founder Giordano Nanni.

He was an academic historian before moving into satire to reach a broader audience. Today The Juice Media’s YouTube channel has more than 500,000 subscribers.
