Another Polestar 4 update rolls in: Top-selling Swede has better handling, is more sustainable and Dual Motor cops a price cut!
Polestar has rolled out a second consecutive annual update for its top-selling Polestar 4 electric SUV-coupe, adding chassis and sustainability upgrades for 2027 while cutting the price of its flagship Dual Motor variant.
The updated Polestar 4 is now available to order in Australia with deliveries slated for July/August.
Pricing of he Rear Motor model unchanged at $78,500 before on-road costs and the Dual Motor dropping by $2000 to $86,350.
The latest changes arrive as Polestar prepares to expand the Polestar 4 family later this year with a second body style featuring a conventional rear window, broadening the appeal of the model beyond the current coupe-inspired version.

Polestar says both Rear Motor and Dual Motor variants have been comprehensively reworked beneath the skin, gaining recalibrated chassis tuning designed to improve both ride comfort and handling precision.
The changes include new high-capacity passive dampers, revised springs and anti-roll bars, polyurethane rebound stops replacing the previous internal rebound coil springs, and steering revisions aimed at improving accuracy and driver confidence.
The Dual Motor remains the fastest vehicle in the Polestar range, capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

The MY27 update also delivers improved claimed sustainability credentials.
Polestar says the cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of the Polestar 4 Dual Motor has fallen by 1.1 tonnes of CO2-equivalent since launch. Australian-delivered Dual Motor models are now rated at 20.3 tonnes of CO2-equivalent, while Rear Motor versions are rated at 19.4 tonnes.
The revised line-up also introduces a new model hierarchy comprising Rear Motor, Dual Motor and Dual Motor with Performance Pack.
A new Comfort Pack has been added for buyers wanting extra luxury features without stepping up to the more expensive Plus Pack.
Priced at $1200, the Comfort Pack adds a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable steering column, easy entry and exit functionality and 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with mechanical cushion extension.
Meanwhile, the Plus Pack has been repriced to $6500 and the Pro Pack has been deleted from the range.

The optional 22kW AC onboard charger is now offered separately for $900 rather than being bundled into the Plus Pack.
Other available options include an electrochromic glass roof, body-coloured lower cladding, privacy glass and a fully electric retractable towbar.
The latest changes follow a MY26 update announced last year that introduced physical steering wheel buttons in place of touch-sensitive controls, an illuminated front Polestar badge and revised equipment packaging.
The Polestar 4 remains one of the Swedish brand’s most important global models and sits between the Polestar 2 fastback and Polestar 3 SUV in Australia.
