Volvo EX60 Australian pricing and line-up confirmed: All-new, high-tech electric SUV undercuts BMW iX3
Volvo has confirmed Australian pricing and specification details for its all-new EX60 electric SUV ahead of local showroom arrivals late in 2026.
The five-seat EX60 will launch locally in two variants, starting from $86,990 before on-road costs for the rear-wheel-drive EX60 Ultra P6 and climbing to $101,990 plus on-road costs for the dual-motor EX60 Ultra P10 AWD.
This pricing undercuts another hotly anticipated electric Euro, the BMW iX3, which arrives in Australia mid-year priced at $109,900 plus ORCs. That is for the only iX3 spec currently on offer, the dual motor 50 xDrive. Cheaper variants are expected later.

Another eagerly awaited Euro is the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV, which is also arriving in Australia before the end of 2026. Pricing for this all-new electric SUV is yet to be announced.

The EX60 pricing announcement follows Volvo’s recent aggressive repositioning of its EV line-up in Australia, including price cuts of up to $11,300 across the EX30 and EX40 ranges.
Volvo says the EX60 is designed to “change the game” in the luxury mid-size EV SUV segment through a combination of long driving range, ultra-fast charging capability and next-generation safety technology.
The EX60 is underpinned by Volvo’s new SPA3 dedicated EV architecture and features 800-volt electrical architecture across the range.
According to Volvo, the rear-drive P6 variant uses an 83kWh battery and delivers up to 610km of WLTP driving range, while the flagship P10 AWD upgrades to a larger 95kWh battery and extends range to 660km.

While those figures fall short of the 810km driving range claimed for the upcoming EX60 Cross Country variant revealed overseas earlier this year, they still place the standard EX60 among the longest-range electric SUVs expected to go on sale in Australia.
The dual-motor P10 AWD also delivers significantly stronger performance, producing 375kW and 710Nm for a claimed 0-100km/h sprint of 4.6 seconds, compared with 5.9 seconds for the single-motor P6.
Volvo says the EX60 will also introduce its most advanced software and infotainment technology yet, powered by the latest version of the company’s HuginCore computing system and featuring Google’s Gemini AI assistant integrated into the Android Automotive operating system.
The EX60 will also be the first Volvo to feature Apple Music with Dolby Atmos integration and a new 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system with headrest speakers in all four main seats.
Volvo says the EX60 has been engineered to deliver the brand’s lowest carbon footprint for a larger EV, matching the smaller EX30 through the use of new battery cell design, cell-to-body construction and large-scale “mega casting” manufacturing techniques.
Aerodynamics have also been prioritised, with the EX60 recording a claimed drag coefficient of 0.26Cd thanks to a low nose design, tapered body sides and coupe-style roofline.

Standard equipment across both Australian variants includes 21-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic electrochromic roof, rear privacy glass, integrated child booster cushions and the Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system.
The flagship Ultra P10 AWD additionally gains active suspension and ventilated Nappa leather upholstery.
Volvo will offer eight exterior colours from launch, including the new Forest Lake and Heather Bronze finishes.
The EX60 will sit between the EX40 and EX90 in the expanding Volvo line-up of electric models.
