Family value: 2026 Zeekr 009 electric people mover now $20,000 cheaper with longer 600km range
The 2026 Zeekr 009 has just become $20,000 more attractive to family buyers on the hunt for a luxurious battery-powered people mover.
A new base model now on-sale in Australia delivers a longer 600km range and a $20K price chop.
Dropping the rear e-motor and losing all-wheel drive, the new Zeekr 009 FW is priced from $115,900 plus on-roads.

That means it undercuts the Mercedes EQV 300 ($162,797) but still commands a price premium over the Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX, which offers all-wheel drive.
Matching the ID. Buzz GTX for power, the new front-drive Zeekr 009 FWD comes with a single e-motor that produces 250kW and 373Nm of torque, for a claimed 0-100km/h dash of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 210km/h.
Sharing the same 116kWh battery pack as the more expensive 009 AWD ($135,900 plus on-roads), Zeekr claims the new base model can drive up to 604km on the European WLTP test regime.
That compares to the 582km the 450kW/693Nm dual-motor version offers.
Plug it in and the 009 claims a 10 to 80 per cent recharge in 30 minutes at up to 205kW with a fast DC charger.
Meanwhile, a full charge (0-100 per cent) at 11kW on an AC charger takes 13.5 hours.
Inside the cabin, the Zeekr 009 comes with three rows of seating in a 2+2+3 configuration providing seating for up to seven.
A more luxurious six-seat version of the Zeekr 009 AWD ($139,900 plus on-roads) is also available.
Changes compared to the more expensive versions include slightly smaller 19-inch alloy wheels (rather than the larger 20s), but there’s still Nappa leather, a 15.05-inch infotainment system, a powerful 30-speaker sound system and heated, ventilated and electric seats in the first- and second-rows.
More standard kit includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, large 26-inch head-up display, 17-inch rear-seat entertainment, tri-zone climate control with cabin filtration, an 8.6-litre cool box with a heater function and a wireless phone charger.
