The best electric cars of 2023: The EV Central team decides
Last year set a new record for electric car sales in Australia, with more models appealing to more Australians.
While the Tesla Model Y comfortably led the EV sales race, new arrivals such as the MG4, BYD Dolphin and updated Polestar 2 added to the plethora of electric options.

And while various state governments wound back their EV incentives, the Federal Government’s generous FBT exemption for electric cars continues to tempt buyers into EVs.
But which was the best electric car of 2023?
That’s something that created heated debate within the EV Central offices.
From the updated Tesla Model 3 and MG4 to the Kia EV9 and Rolls-Royce Spectre, 2023 was a huge year for EVs.
