Sleek four-door Zeekr 7GT wagon launches in right-hand drive: Next stop Australia?
The 2026 Zeekr 7GT Shooting Brake wagon has edged closer to reality for Australian buyers following fresh reports it has been approved for right-hand drive production.
The UK appears to be the first RHD market it is bound for, with pricing from around £40,000 ($80,450).
Officially unwrapped at the Brussels motor show, the Zeekr 7GT is a stylish rival for large all-electric sedans like the Hyundai Ioniq 6, as well as more expensive models like the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo.

Said to be tailored to European tastes, the 7GT has been both designed and engineered in Europe giving it the edge over its Chinese rivals, Zeekr claims.
Sharing much with the Zeekr 7X already on sale in Australia, the new 7GT is based on the PMA2+ architecture that combines with powerful 800-volt electrics for ultra-fast charging rates of more than 450kW.

Plug it in and a 10 to 80 per cent refill takes just 13 minutes, but only if you can find a powerful enough DC charger.
In the UK it’s been tipped that the 7GT will be offered in Core rear-wheel drive, Long Range rear-wheel drive and Privilege four-wheel drive guises.
While the base Core model will come with an entry 75kWh battery, more expensive versions will come with a large 100kWh power pack for a range of more than 665km.

Choose the fastest Privilege AWD and the 7GT musters 450kW from its dual motors. It launched from 0-100km/h in just 3.3 seconds, while top speed is limited to 210km/h, although the WLTP range drops off to 558km.
Less powerful models come with a 310kW rear-mounted e-motor.
Opt for the flagship AWD and Zeekr offers its fastest wagon with adaptive air suspension, large 21-inch rims and bigger high-performance brakes.

Within, there’s a 16-inch infotainment screen that is combined with a 13-inch digital instrument cluster that is supplemented with an enormous 35-inch head-up display.
Sharing its footprint with mid-size sedans like the Audi A4, the 7GT measures in at 4817mm long, 1910mm wide and stands 1456mm tall, with the Zeekr coming with a 2900mm wheelbase and a modest 456-litre boot.
While first deliveries begin on July 1 in markets like Norway, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, it’s not yet been confirmed when right-hand drive Zeekr 7GTs will begin rolling off the production line at its Chinese plant in Hangzhou.
