Porsche Taycan slayer! Sleek 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT4 EV coming this June to blast past Porsche Taycan GT
Mercedes-AMG is almost ready to reveal its 750kW-plus Porsche Taycan GT-basher and to prove it it’s released pics of its hypercar-humbling electric super sedan ahead of its June debut.
Heavily inspired by the 2022 Vision AMG concept, the latest teasers posted on AMG’s socials reveal the fast four-door’s fastback profile, low sleek lines and star-shaped graphics in its front and rear LED lamps.
Not that the designers have exactly remained faithful to the original concept. Gone are the low-slung looks and banished is the curvy rear end.

We also miss the show car’s rear ‘flame thrower’-style lamps.

Featuring a large low-mounted silver star emblem, just above the front plate carrier, it looks like aerodynamics will rule, with only a modest opening for cooling.
Rumoured to be named the ‘GT4 EV’, instead of being pitched as a direct replacement for the AMG GT 4-Door, it seems the mighty four-door coupe, featuring a wild 620kW V8 plug-in hybrid power, might live on longer in the range.
No further official details have been released but we already know AMG’s super sedan will sit on Mercedes-AMG’s own AMG.EA electric architecture it has developed from scratch.
That’s because the German division needs a platform that can incorporate AMG’s next-gen Axial Flux disc-shaped e-motors.
Weighing just 24kg each, the Yasa-developed (the company Mercedes now owns outright) e-motors produce up to 358kW and 800Nm of torque each.

That explains why the quad-motor all-wheel drive should punch out at least 750kW, with many tipping it to overtake the 815kW the ballistic Porsche Taycan GT musters.
Other advanced tech includes 800-volt electrics, and a superfast-charging battery pack developed in-house featuring a silicon anode.
Mercedes-AMG has already announced a super-SUV has been twinned with the four-door.
It could be revealed before the end of this year and is expected to deliver epic power and supercar-like agility.
