Polestar turned up to 911 with new Polestar 6 Concept BST unveiled at Goodwood
Polestar has unveiled a new concept car – the Concept BST – which it describes as “Polestar turned up to 11”, but anyone with functioning eyes might well contend that it looks more like “Polestar turned up to 911”,
Based on the upcoming Polestar 6 all-electric sports car, the Concept BST reinforces the brand’s intention to grow the BST sub-brand.
BST – or Beast – is all about more power, more performance and more cornering nous.
The Porsche-like electric roadster concept made its global debut at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, in the “first glance paddock”, where it was parked next to, and somewhat outshining, the new-ish Polestar 3 and Polestar 4.

The Polestar Concept BST features bespoke bodywork, finished in slick silver paint, with huge flared arches, an extra wide track and 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
The aerodynamically optimised bonnet, with its “unique vented design” – one not a million miles away from Porsche’s track-focussed 911 GT3 – is framed by a very aggressive front splitter.
“The motorsport theme continues at the rear with an extreme rear wing and a design completed by the bespoke racing-livery inspired graphics,” Polestar declared.
Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath was thrilled to be able to unveil something so exciting and radical from the brand at Goodwood, a festival where it can be tough to get attention with so many amazing cars, and brands, in attendance.
“Now we are a brand with three models in production it’s great to see them here together for the first time at a global event,” Ingenlath said.
“The Goodwood Festival of Speed is full of the most exciting cars and the most enthusiastic crowds, so it’s the perfect place for us to tease our Polestar Concept BST.
“This car is a demonstration of how far we can push our performance brand – Polestar turned up to 11 if you will – and a demonstration of how we could apply the BST formula to our line up in the future.”
The Polestar 6 Concept was be one of the many exciting vehicles to demonstrate its pace by taking a blast up the famous 1.2-mile long hillclimb in front of the festival’s crowds.
Engineered alongside the Polestar 5 and using the same bespoke bonded aluminium Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) platform, the Polestar 6 will represent the pinnacle of the brand’s all-electric lineup.
The expected release date for Polestar 6 in Australia is some time in 2026 and the brand has created a real buzz around the 2+2 electric roadster concept. A price is yet to be confirmed but a figure of US$200,000 has been widely mooted, so it could be pushing $300K in local dollars.
