Home on the Ranger: Ford paves the way for the arrival of the Ranger PHEV and Puma EV
With the countdown to the arrival of both the plug-in Ford Ranger and Puma EV underway Ford Australia is teaming up with Evie Networks to provide a new EV Charging Package.
From now on Ford buyers are being invited to splash out on $2580 online or via an authorised Ford EV dealership. For that you get a Teltonika Teltocharge 7.4kW single-phase wallbox, a 5m tethered cable with a Type 2 connector and a smartphone app that monitors and control and enables remote charging.

Snap up one of the early deals and the Blue Oval will throw in a further $400 in charging credit for use on public chargers.
For those who have access to three-phase power, owners will also be able to up-spec their wallbox to a more powerful 22kW charger and even integrate home solar for an extra $300.
The motivation behind Ford partnering with Evie Networks is the Blue Oval is paving the way for the arrival of both the plug-in hybrid version of its best-selling Ford Ranger and the new entry Puma EV.

Ford has yet to confirm just when the Puma EV is set to land but it should touchdown in Australia later this year with the plug-in Ranger ute set to an early 2025 introduction.
The new E-Transit Custom is also on its way to Australia.
The system is also compatible with Ford’s existing electrified models such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, E-Transit and Escape PHEV.
“When living with an EV, having a home charger installed makes life so simple. You simply drive it each day and plug it in at home like you would a smartphone,” said Ford Australia electric vehicle general manager Myles Hartley.
“You get all the benefits of having a fuel bowser in your garage, able to fill up your car cheaply and easily overnight.”
