Yet another Chinese brand lobs in Australia: GAC confirms local launch timing and model line-up

The state-owned Chinese auto giant GAC has officially confirmed it will launch in Australia in November.

The launch announcement itself has been on the cards fro a while, but the timing has been pushed back a month from previous expectations.

A three model launch line-up has been confirmed led by the mid-size Aion V electric SUV.

The other two models are the plug-in hybrid M8 people-mover and the Emzoom compact ICE SUV.

GAC has previously made it clear it has significant sales ambitions in Australia it wants to achieve at an express rate.

“Launching GAC in Australia is an exceptional milestone for our brand,” said Cheney Liang, Deputy General Manager of GAC Australia.

“I have no doubt that Australian customers will welcome our range of high-quality, innovative models with keen interest, and become accustomed to the elevated ownership experience we are set to offer
