Watch out Tesla Model Y Performance! Facelifted 2025 Skoda Enyaq RS freshens up with radical makeover and faster charging
The 2025 Skoda Enyaq RS wagon and 2025 Skoda Enyaq RS Coupe have updated with fresh tech as well as some of the fresh styling cues already applied to core versions of the mid-size SUV.
The updates are timely with a Juniper Tesla Model Y Performance expected on-sale in Australia in 2025.
The fastest Skoda Enyaq’s 79kWh (usable) battery can now be charged at up to 185kW DC – 10kW higher than before.

The Enyaq RS now claims to deliver a range of 560km or more – up around 30km from when it launched in Australia late last year.
But it retains the current car’s dual-motor 250kW powertrain and very brisk 0-100km/h dash of 5.4 seconds.

Skoda claims a 10 to 80 per cent top up now takes 26 minutes – matching the new Elroq RS and making the refreshed Enyaq RS among the brand’s fastest EVs to charge.
In the flesh you won’t miss the facelifted Enyaq RS.
Adopting Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language, the new 2025 Enyaq RS proudly sports the brand’s latest Tech Deck face that incorporates a set of slim four-element LED headlamps with a thin gloss black grille.
Other clear RS indicators include side window trims, roof rails, door mirrors and badging all finished in gloss black. There’s also bespoke front and rear bumpers.

As standard the Enyaq RS rides on 20-inch matte black alloy wheels, with the option of 21-inch anthracite metallic rims available.
For those attention seekers out there, Mamba Green paint is also available, while the RS gets dark rear tinted side glass.
Sitting 15mm lower upfront and 10mm at the rear, compared to a regular Enyaq, the RS wagon and SUV-coupe bag Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive dampers and sports suspension, while bigger performance brakes complete the chassis updates.
Within, there’s the choice of either an RS Lounge or RS Suite cabin. The former comes with faux suede and leather chairs with lime green stitching, the latter gets a more grown-up mix of real and fake leather with less shouty sober grey stitches.
A perforated leather steering wheel, heated front sport seats, a massage function for the driver’s seat, a new 13.0-inch infotainment system, three-zone climate control and rear sunshades are all standard.

Options on European cars include a massage electric seat for the passenger, plus a heat pump to ramp up the Enyaq’s efficiency in colder weather.
Timings, full specification and pricing are all unknowns for the Australian market but the 2025 Skoda Enyaq Rs is hotly tipped to arrive with the rest of the upgraded Enyaq range in Q3 (July-Sept) of this year.
The current Skoda Enyaq RS is priced from $83,990 plus on-road costs, with the list price expected to rise with the facelifted model.
