Slash and burn less fuel! Price cuts for MG3, MG ZS, MG HS and MG HS Super Hybrid all rolled out

MG Australia has rolled out price cuts for all its petrol-electric models.

The action includes new drive-away prices on the MG3 hatch, ZS small SUV and announced pricing for its new mid-size SUV, the HS hybrid and PHEV.

From the beginning of July, the MG3 HYBRID+ costs $28,990 drive-away for the entry-level Excite, representing a saving on the usual $27,990 plus on-roads.

Meanwhile, the top-spec Essence is now priced from $31,990 drive-away, or $29,990 (plus ORCs).

Australia’s top-selling MG ZS, meanwhile, now costs $32,990 drive-away for the Excite and $34,990 drive-away Essence.

The new MG HS, meanwhile, in base HYBRID+ Excite guise will be introduced and priced from $42,990 drive-away when it lands in Australian showrooms this September.

At that pricing the new mid-size SUV is $1800 to $4500 cheaper than a Toyota RAV4, depending on the state you’re registering your car in.

The higher-grade MG HS HYBRID+ Essence is priced from $46,990 drive-away.

The plug-in hybrid MG HS Super Hybrid has also received tweaked drive-away pricing.

It now arrive $2000 cheaper than before, with the base Excite starting at $50,990, while the range-topping Essence is priced from $54,990.

Commenting on the new pricing, MG Australia CEO, Peter Ciao said: “We hear from local drivers that value for them means innovation without compromise – at prices Australians can afford.

“I want to see MG using our presence and technical leadership to make advanced solutions, like HYBRID+ and SUPER HYBRID, accessible to more Australians around the country. This means models suiting their lifestyle at every price point.”
