Seventh heaven: New all-electric 2025 Cadillac Vistiq debuts with luxury for up to seven – and an Australian launch is on the cards
Cadillac has unwrapped yet another battery-electric SUV with the unveiling of the large Cadillac Vistiq that will go on sale in the US in the second half of 2025.
Marking the fifth EV to be revealed following the brand’s zero-emission revival, the new Cadillac Vistiq has been created to sit above the five seat Lyriq that’s locked in for an Australian debut but below the mammoth Escalade IQ.
Full details have yet to be released on the Vistiq but it looks like when it arrives it will be heavily related on the Lyriq we’ll get Down Under but sports conventional rear styling to house a third row of seats.
That said the latest Caddy Vistiq still manages to incorporate the weird split rear tail lights borrowed from the Escalade.
Despite keeping the techy bits under wraps the evidence on the ‘600 E4’ badges suggests that as well as featuring frontal styling that looks similar to the Lyriq it will also borrow the smaller SUV’s GM-sourced BEV3 platform and the car-maker giant’s latest Ultium battery.
Set to come with a development of the Lyriq’s all-wheel drive dual-motor powertrain, the seven-seat Cadillac will push out around 373kW and 610Nm of torque.
Like the Lyriq, we expect a battery size of around 102kWh and for it to be capable of covering around 500km. A cheaper 255kW rear-drive version will also be offered.
Inside, expect the Vistiq to boast a huge 33-inch 9K-resolution digital display and get the same AKG 19-speaker audio system as the Lyriq.
Other highlights will include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nappa leather trim, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, ventilated and massaging front seats, a panoramic fixed-glass roof, intersection automatic emergency braking and trick adaptive headlights.
Despite demand for remaining strong for three-row SUVs in Australia there’s no word yet if GM has any plans to import anything larger than the Lyriq to Australia yet, but the brand is betting big on Australia, so watch this space.
