Renault’s answer to the Ariya: New EV SUV teased

Renault’s answer to the Nissan Ariya will be revealed in full tomorrow, with the French brand issuing a final teaser clip of its all-electric SUV.

While we don’t know much about the new vehicle yet, the clip does reveal a very cool front-light setup, that appears to be an active strip of lighting that runs the full width of the vehicle, meeting an illuminated Renault badge in the centre.

International reporting suggests the new model will ride on the Renault-Nissan Alliance CMF-EV platform, the same that underpins the Ariya SUV.

There’s also a real chance it will take its styling cues from the Renault Morphoz revealed in March – a multi-sized crossover that could grow or shrink depending on the owner’s needs.

The new model will be revealed at the Renault eWays forum on October 15.
