Offered with an ultra-long claimed 1150km range, the mid-size also comes with a claimed 145km pure-electric range.
It is priced from just $45,900 drive-away – $1600 less than the battery-powered version.

Shaping up as s key rival fro the BYD Sealion 6 and the incoming Jaceoo J7 PHEV, the new Leapmotor C10 REEV includes a small 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol as a generator to top up the battery once it runs flat.
Spinning the rear wheels of the Leapmotor C10 REEV is a 158kW electric motor that is fed juice from a 28.4kWh battery.

That remarkable zero-emission range of 145km (that has yet to be officially confirmed for our market) on the lenient NEDC test cycle, combines with fuel consumption rated at just 0.9L/100km and emissions pegged at 21g/km respectively.
Mirroring the C10 EV, the new range-extender version can be topped-up using an AC and DC charger.
Find a DC fast charger and a 30-80 per cent top-up takes just 18 minutes.
In Australia the Leapmotor C10 REEV matches the electric version by being offered in Style and Design trims.
The base Style gets 18-inch alloy wheels, auto LED headlights, a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, a heat pump, electric seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, 14.6-inch HD infotainment system, sat nav, a wireless phone charger, 12-speaker sound system and a tyre inflation kit.
Standard safety kit includes AEB, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitor, lane-keep assist, cross traffic alert, exit warning and a 360-degree parking and rear parking sensors.
The C10 REEV Design costs $4000 more than the base model. It adds 20-inch alloys, an electric tailgate, rear privacy glass, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, an LED rear light bar, air quality sensor, faux leather seats and ambient lighting.
Included in its price, the latest Leapmotor comes with a six-year/150,000km warranty, eight years of roadside assistance and eight-year capped price servicing.
