Radical electric Cupra previewed: New concept to join production Raval small EV at Munich show in September
Cupra is set to double down on its strategy to not play it safe when it comes to the design of its EVs and to prove it, it has begun teasing the all-new concept that will be unwrapped at the upcoming Munich motor show on September 7.
Revealing it inside out first, the new concept picks up where the striking 2023 DarkRebel concept left off.
The new pics reveal a concept that features a yoke, instead of a steering wheel, a development of the central spine that’s used in the Tavascan EV, plus a pair of motorsport-derived bucket seats.

Cupra is keeping tight-lipped about what else we can expect from the new concept, but says it will blend “human and machine, where the driving experience and emotions reach their fullest expression”.
No glimpses have been given of the new show car’s exterior skin, but expect it to give us our clearest look yet at the firm’s next chapter of design that will go on to inspire all future hybrid and battery-powered Cupras.

Unveiled alongside the new unnamed concept is the inbound production-spec 2026 Cupra Raval, the VW-owned Spanish brand’s all-new entry EV created to battle both the
MINI Cooper Electric and Abarth 500e/600e, plus the Renault 5 E-Tech and Alpine A290 twins.
Tipped to be powered by a single 166kW e-motor, the new Raval sits on the MEB Entry platform and will be offered with either a 38kWh or a 56kWh battery that will deliver a range of up to 440km.
Charging is up to 125kW, with a 10-80 per cent top-up likely to take less than 30 minutes.
