Now that’s a price cut! Zeekr X discounted by up to $7000 as sales fall short of Volvo EX30
The 2025 Zeekr X small all-electric SUV has had pricing slashed up to $7000, with the entry-level RWD version now priced from $49,990 before on-road costs.
The price cut extends to the flagship Zeekr X AWD that is now $2000 cheaper, now priced from $62,900 before on-roads.
Attempting to head-off furious owners who have splashed out significantly more for their Zeekr X, the Chinese brand says existing owners will be treated to three free years of servicing for the RWD owners – and five years for those who bought the more expensive AWD.

Prompting the price cut is thought to be a case of sibling rivalry.
The Zeekr X was co-developed alongside the Volvo EX30 because both brands are owned by Chinese giant Geely, and Australian buyers seem to prefer the Scandinavian EV.
In the first three months of this year Zeekr shifted just 179 Zeekr Xs, compared to 385 Volvo EX30s delivered over the same period.
The new price for the base model also sees the Zeekr X distanced from the recently introduced facelifted Tesla Model Y that’s priced from $58,000 plus on-roads for the most affordable version.
It also delivers more pricing space for Zeekr to launch the larger 7X into around September. The Model Y-sized electric SUV is tipped to become the brand’s biggest seller in Australia.
“This repositioning reflects our strategy to align with market trends and to ensure that Zeekr remains at the forefront of the electric revolution,” said Zeekr Australia boss William Zhou.
“As we look to the future, this move sets the stage for the introduction of new, innovative models that will further elevate the Zeekr driving experience.”
