Lordstown Motors Endurance interior revealed: three-screen setup for EV ute
Lordstown Motors has revealed the interior of its Endurance, with a three-screen setup headlining a tech-heavy cabin for the new electric truck.
While the specs are yet to be revealed, the triple-screen dash allows the company to dedicate one to driving information, another to the vehicle’s EV status, and the third to smartphone mirroring apps, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Apart from that, it’s a wide and truck-like cabin, with what appears to be a rotary dial-style gear selector and electronic parking brake, as well as a soft-wrapped and squared-off dash.
Todays new follows reports that Lordstown Motors plans to have the Endurance in US dealerships from early next year, with the company reporting thousands of pre-orders for the all-electric truck.
The Endurance, which has four in-wheel electric motors, is said to produce a combined 447kW and between 2711Nm and 5965Nm, with towing capacity of around 3400kg. Range is claimed to be 400km-plus, the top speed is limited to 128km/h, and 0-100km/h acceleration should be achieved in around six seconds.
To be built at an ex-General Motors plant in Lordstown Ohio, the five-seat double-cab Endurance is not confirmed for Australian sale, but US pricing starts US$52,500 (about $76,000).
