Whichever you choose, both 009s come with a dual-motor powertrain that produces 450kW and 693Nm of torque, which should prove plenty to overcome its near-three-tonne kerb weight and deliver at 0-100km/h dash of just 4.5 seconds.

Combined with a huge 116kWh lithium-ion battery Zeekr said its lounge on wheels can cover up to 582km on the WLTP test cycle.

Capable of being topped up at up to 250kW, Zeekr says a 10-80 per cent top-up takes around 30 minutes, although an 11kW AC charge sees a 0-100 per cent refill takes 13.5 hours.

Inside, there’s Nappa leather and ultrasuede, 12-way power adjust seats, a fixed panoramic glass roof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that’s supplemented by an enormous 35.95-inch augmented head-up display.

In the centre of the dash is a large 15-inch infotainment system that’s capable of over-the-air updates and features an AI-powered virtual assistant,17-inch 3K OLED rear entertainment screen, adaptive air suspension, wireless smartphone mirroring, a 30-speaker Yamaha surround-sound system, tri-zone climate control and an 8.6-litre fridge.

In the second row there’s a pair of captain chairs, with the left seat getting a 14-way power adjustment and 12-way for the right. Both gets foldable single tray tables, cupholders and lots of storage areas.

The first and second row have heated seats, there’s a sentry mode, ambient lighting, auto-dimming mirrors, vehicle-to-load functionality and a 29-litre frunk.

While the base version features a 2+2+3 seat layout, the six-seater gets a more luxurious 2+2+2 seating arrangement, that ensures the third row gets third armrests, foldable tray tables and its own cupholders and storage space.

As standard, the Zeekr 009 rides on 20-inch aero wheels that wear Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres and is available in Crystal White, Grey Purple, Mineral Green, Electric Blue and Phantom Black.

Within, the cabin is available in five different colours – Stone Black, Stone Grey, Polar White, Midnight Blue or Jade Green.

Like other Zeekr models the 009 is covered by a five-year unlimited km warranty, while the high-voltage battery is protected by an eight year/160,000km cover. Included in its price is five year’s roadside assistance, while service intervals are spaced every 40,000km or two years.

The 2025 Zeekr 009 is said to have been timed to arrive in Australian dealers in the coming weeks.
