EV price parity is here: Bargain Geely EX5 electric SUV priced to thrill in Australia

Geely has taken a razor to even its own pricing predictions for its EX5 electric SUV, with the mid-size model to start at $40,990 before on-road costs In Australia.

The move ends the brand’s pricing saga in Australia, with Geely initially promising the model would arrive at between $49,000 and $55,000, before a pricing leak hit the web with a that said it would start at $43,490 before on-road costs.

But the official pricing beats both prior predictions, with the EX5 Complete to list at $40,990. The two-model range then steps up to $44,990 for the Inspire. Both prices are before on-road costs, which, in NSW, make them more like $44,200 and $48,300 drive-away respectively.
