Radical 2025 Deepal E07 Multitrack priced: The SUV that transforms into a ute will be here soon at a surprising price
The radical Deepal E07 battery electric SUV that converts into a ute will launch in Australia in the third quarter of 2024 with sharper pricing than expected.
Originally tipped to be pitched around $80,000 when our man Toby Hagon drove it in China in February, pricing will actually start at $64,900 plus on-road costs.
That’s for the rear-wheel drive version of what’s been christened the E07 Multitrack locally. The all-wheel drive version will be pitched at $73,900 plus on-road costs.

The E07’s unique feature is a transformable rear body that can swap from five-seat SUV to a 300kg-payload two-seat ute with a series of button pushes and a bit of manipulation.
It has no definable direct opposition in Australia, something Deepal Australia general manager Cormac Cafolla expects will help attract interest to it and the overall Chinese brand, which launched in Australia with the S07 electric SUV late last year.
“It is fantastically unusual,” he told EV Central moments after the pricing and the opening of pre-orders was announced at last weekend’s Melbourne motor show.
“We expect it to excite the market, we expect it to shake it up a little bit. It is a transformable SUV-ute, we’ve codenamed it kinda passionately, a Multitrack.

“We think it’s a car that represents something new in the market. I won’t give you a sales volume but I think the market is excited about.
“We saw that at the [Sydney] electric vehicle show and it’s really important for us this weekend [in Melbourne] to talk to people who aren’t necessarily dedicated to buying an EV who want something that fits a lifestyle that just happens to be electric.”
The rear-wheel drive Deepal E07 Multitrack is powered by a 252kW/365M e-motor, while the dual-motor all-wheel drive ups that to 440kW/645Nm.

Both vehicles come with an 88.98kWh NMC battery pack that delivers a claimed (NEDC) 642km for the RWD and 626km for the AWD. The E07 supports an 800V electric architecture that is claimed to add 350km in as little as 15 minutes.
Interior features include a floating and rotating 15.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, 28.88-inch head up display, Nappa leather trim, massaging front seats, dual-zone air-conditioning and a “full suite” of safety systems including reverse auto-driving.
Caffola also highlighted E07 features that aid its camping capabilities.
“Hit the scenario mode which brings fresh air into the cabin and keeps the car at a constant temperature overnight. Electronic air suspension will balance that car while you camp.
“That car can be whatever it wants to be and you can use it in a multitude of ways.”
