Porsche Taycan GTS is a new performance choice in EV family
The Porsche Taycan GTS is a new performance choice in EV family, with the new Taycan variant on its way to Australia in Q2 next year.
Described as a “sporty all-rounder”, the GTS plugs the gap between the existing 4S and bananas Turbo models, the new Taycan GTS is packing the wallop we’ve come to expect from the performance giant’s electric vehicles.
In this case, dual electric motors produce a monster 440kW of “overboost power with Launch Control”, which is enough, Porsche says, to dispatch 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, and to deliver a top speed of 250km/h.
And having spent much time in the Porsche Taycan family, those figures – though manufacturer claims – should likely be believed.
It also gets “GTS-specific chassis tuning”, as well as adaptive air suspension and a Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) management system tuned to reduce body roll.
The Performance Battery Plus is standard gear here, which means a 93.4kWh battery pack and a driving range of around 415km.
You can expect to pay $237,000 for the privilege, slotting the GTS below the Turbo ($276,300) and above the 4S ($194,700) in the Taycan sedan family.
