Leapmotor C10 grows a set! AWD Sports+ Special Edition has 440kW/760Nm and 4.0 sec 0-100km/h
Leapmotor will expand its Australian C10 line-up in April with the introduction of a new all-wheel-drive flagship, the C10 AWD Sports+ Special Edition, bringing a significant uplift in performance and charging capability over the existing rear-wheel-drive models.
Priced from $53,888 before on-road costs, the dual-motor variant sits above the current single-motor battery-electric and range-extender versions already on sale locally, which are positioned as more efficiency-focused offerings in the mid-size electric SUV segment.
They are priced from $43,888 to $49,888 plus on-road costs.
Just 50 examples of the Sports+ Special Edition will come to Australia. It will arrive with a major step up in outputs compared with the existing C10 BEV, increasing power ad torque massively from 160kW/320Nm to a claimed 440kW/760Nm.

That translates to a 0–100km/h sprint time of 4.0 seconds, compared with 7.5 seconds for the standard rear-drive electric version.

The new variant also introduces an all-wheel-drive system with dual motors and torque distribution designed to switch between single- and dual-motor operation depending on conditions, aiming to balance efficiency with traction.
Battery capacity has been increased to 81.9kWh (LFP), up from the 69.9kWh pack used in the existing BEV, with claimed driving range of up to 437km on the WLTP cycle. By comparison, the current rear-drive C10 offers up to 425km WLTP.
Charging capability is also upgraded, with the Sports+ moving to an 800-volt electrical architecture supporting DC fast charging at up to 180kW.

Leapmotor claims a 30 to 80 per cent recharge can be completed in around 22 minutes, compared with the existing model’s 84kW peak and 30-minute window.
The broader C10 range continues to include both a pure battery-electric variant and a range-extender (REEV) version.
The latter pairs a 28.4kWh battery with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, offering up to 170km of electric driving range and a combined range of up to 1150km (NEDC), targeting buyers not yet ready to rely solely on charging infrastructure.
Dimensionally unchanged, the C10 measures 4739mm long with a 2825mm wheelbase, placing it in the heart of the medium SUV segment alongside models such as the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 6.

The Sports+ Special Edition builds on the higher-spec ‘Design’ grade, which already includes features such as 20-inch alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, 10.25-inch driver display and a 12-speaker audio system.
Additional visual changes for the special edition are limited to unique badging, decals and interior trim highlights, with the model offered in Pearl White or Metallic Black with contrasting exterior accents.
Leapmotor continues to back the C10 range with a six-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty, alongside eight years of roadside assistance and capped-price servicing.

As a current C10 REEV owner Im not happy with this new model; first Im very content with my REEV after 9 months and 30,000klms and secondly I cant afford the AWD. Also as I said to Andy, LMs CEO, last year 50 won’t be enough especially at that price, a couple of hundred would be better and maybe as many as 500.
