Inbound 2026 Renault Twingo E-Tech takes the fight to the BYD Dolphin, GWM Ora and MG4 with cut-throat pricing
Renault isn’t messing around with its all-new baby EV.
The French brand has already revealed its all-new Renault Twingo E-Tech will be priced from just €20,000 ($A32,500) when it arrives in 2026.
Set to be unwrapped again in updated form at the Paris motor show on October 14, the Twingo E-Tech has been priced to go up against budget EVs like the BYD Dolphin ($36,890 plus on-road costs), the GWM Ora ($33,990 drive-away) and the MG4 51, which is currently on-sale at $30,990 drive-away.

The cute new Twingo E-Tech created to slot into the Renault’s growing EV line-up beneath both reborn Renault 5 EV hatch and the soon-to-be-revealed Renault 4 SUV.
The Paris show car, meanwhile, isn’t expected to drastically differ from the well-received 2023 Twingo concept.
It keeps the looks that pay homage to the first-generation Renault Twingo that was launched back in 1993, adopting a fresh take on the original’s round headlamps, snub-nosed bonnet and three fake vents.
Even though it looks like a three-door hatch, the Twingo has five-doors. Hidden rear door handles are tucked away in the C-pillar.
Inside, expect a cool funky cabin design that picks up where the R5 left off.
Keeping costs low, design, development and engineering will be carried out by Renault’s new Ampere EV division in cooperation with an unnamed Chinese partner.
Production of the Renault Twingo E-Tech will take place at a factory in Europe to avoid EU tariffs.
More details, including what will power Renault’s latest baby EV are expected following its Paris debut this week.
