Honda returns to form! Stunning all-new 0 Series electric Saloon and Space-Hub due in 2026
Honda looks like it has rediscovered its mojo following the unveiling of an all-new family of EVs called the 0 Series that are claimed to be 90 per cent finished ahead of their launch in 2026.
Unwrapped at this year’s CES tech-fest in Las Vegas, the Honda 0 Series Saloon and Space-Hub people mover both come with Blade Runner-inspired looks, while the significance of its name is the Japanese car-maker started from scratch on these electric vehicles.

Attracting most attention was the Honda 0 Series Saloon luxury sedan that’s built on an all-new dedicated EV platform and employs the brand’s M/M ‘man maximum/machine minimum’ philosophy that sees plenty of sustainably sourced materials throughout its construction.
Looking more like a modern reboot on an Italian ‘seventies ’70s supercar, like the Lamborghini Countach, the striking shape will be kept for production, although the show car’s gullwing doors and some of its more outlandish design details won’t live on in the car that rolls off the assembly line.
Amazingly, the front rectangular grille that features an illuminated H logo and a high-definition display could stay, adding extra showroom appeal. It’s expected the digital screen will update owners on the sedan’s charging status and perhaps even communicate to other road users.
Towards the back of the car there’s a bluff rear end and pixel LED lamps that ensures it will look nothing like any other fast or luxurious sedan.
Within, there’s a yoke-style steering wheel that is connected to Honda’s new steer-by-wire tech. Ahead of it, is a multi-level stepped dash that features a full-width screen displaying the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system.
New tech introduced in the cabin includes posture control adaptive seating, AI-based driving aids, new active safety and an AI-powered voice assistant.
Honda hasn’t released any powertrain details other than saying its batteries will be compatible with ultra-fast charging that will see a 15-80 per cent top up take between 10-15 minutes.
The car-maker’s next-gen batteries will also be far more robust than existing tech and suffer less than one-per cent degradation per year. The same power pack will be lighter and more compact than current EVs but feature a far higher power density.
Expect the total range to be in excess of 500km, even for the base version.
Confirmed that it will launch in 2026 in the US first, Honda says the 0 Series Saloon will then be introduced in Japan, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America. It did not specifically mention Australia but it makes senser our cars will arrive around the same time it will launch in right-hand drive markets.
Accompanying the Saloon on the CES stand was a second 0 Series model dubbed the Space-Hub. Mirroring the sedan’s wild design, the other member of the brand’s new EV family features an SUV-like shape that offers more space within.
Expected to share powertrains with the Saloon, the SUV will likely go on sale shortly after the wedgier sedan.
As well as previewing an all-new design language both Honda concepts also bagged a new ‘H’ logo that is meant to symbolise two outstretched hands. The new badge will be applied to all future Honda EVs.
