2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N lands with devastating performance! four-door track-bred EV is a super-fast family hauler
Hyundai N has unleashed its 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
As suspected, the Korean brand’s performance division revealed its new super sedan is even quicker than its ballistic Ioniq 5 N.
We already knew the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N would share its mighty dual-motor powertrain with the white-hot Ioniq 5 N and, indeed, the sports sedan produces an identical 478kW and 770Nm of torque.
But it can reach 100km/h from rest in just 3.2 seconds – 0.2 seconds quicker than its SUV sibling.

Top speed is 257km/h which is actually 3km/h slower than the Ioniq 5 N, while the acceleration advantage is thought to have been gained from a revised Launch Control software.
Engineers also claim the battery-powered four-door benefits from a shorter wheelbase and lower centre of gravity, plus a slipperier shape, which should give it the advantage on track.
Measuring 4935mm long, 1940mm wide and standing 1495mm tall, aerodynamicists have worked hard to overhaul the standard Ioniq 6’s body to boost down force on track, adding a new front bumper, side skirts, lowering the suspension, developing a set of new 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and, finally, bolting on the striking rear wing, complete with its swan-neck mounts.
Inside, the Ioniq 6 N gains an N-specific steering wheel, N-branded leather and Alcantara bucket seats, dual 12.3-inch displays with N-specific displays and a set of blue-trimmed seat belts.

Powering the Ioniq 6 N is an 84kWh battery pack that should see it top the 448km range the Ioniq 5 N can cover, on account of its low 0.23 drag coefficient.
Ensuring its more at home on-track, the Ioniq 6 N comes with substantial chassis tweaks that include the introduction of new adaptive dampers and completely different suspension geometry that is also said to improve handling on the road.
Hyundai’s super sedan also comes with a new N Track Manager that provides telemetry for the driver, plus an N Ambient Shift Light and virtual N e-Shift gear shifting that works with Launch Control. The N Grin Boost, variable torque split and drift optimiser have all been enhanced and improved.
Like before, there’s still the option of N Active Sound+ soundscape that offers different soundtracks for Ignition, Evolution and Lightspeed modes.
Since it’s been created for those who will use it on track, the Ioniq 6 N comes with huge 400mm front discs that are clamped down on by four-piston callipers and large 360mm rear rotors. Boosting performance, Pirelli has developed a bespoke P Zero tyre for the electric Hyundai.
Primed to land in Australia in the first half of next year, it’s thought the new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N will command a premium over the current IONIQ 5 N ($110,383 plus on-roads) when pricing is announced closer to its introduction next year.
